What I encountered in Italy is that all Italian servers, waiters no all Italian people think that everyone else from outside of Italy must know know all their fancy Italian names for different varieties of dishes. You go to Italian restaurant, ask for meniu, there are no descriptions of any kind only different Italian names for pizzas, steaks, pastas etc and even drink without any explanation what the dish ir drink actually is. Politely ask for an explanation or description and they mad.
