I've found the potsticker method works pretty well.
>hot pan
>olivölle in
add brussie halves and let sear a couple minutes
>add water to halfway up the sprouts
>cover and let simmer
>when water is evaporated remove cover, sprouts will be nicely steamed and continue to get crrispy

>now they brown in a perfect mixture of olive oil and spices
