I get people to make my food. 12 years on.

I got to enjoy 8 meals in jail, it was basically hospital cafeteria food. Every meal came with one slice of white bread and one slice of wheat, not sure why.

Breakfast was always oatmeal, and apple or orange, juice and those two slices of bread.

Lunch was bologna sandwiches one day, (tasted just like oscar meyer) cheeseburger the next (definitely the highlight) and tuna sandwich the next. Always served with that mismatched bread, some kind of salad and fruit cup. (The potato salad was awful, unsurprisingly.)

Dinners were beef stew and this ragu-like dish they called lasagna plus green salad. Pretty bland, reminded me of school lunches. The stew came with a piece of chocolate cake though which was actually quite good.

Can't wait to go back!

What sort of food should be fed to prisoners? What are good dishes that can be made cheaply and in bulk that this sort of people will eat and enjoy?
