You have to remember that a lot of people on this planet think that there is only one right way to do things and that the "right way" is logically equivalent to "what makes sense". The problem with doing things "the right way" over and over again is that it ignores the fact that these social charades had to start somewhere, and that there was some other "the right way" before that. But that logic is actually irrelevant because traditionfagging is performed largely to feel like one belongs to some social structure and doesn't necessarily serve an intrinsic logical purpose. The anon arguing with you probably does so to protect themselves from fears social ostricism by their larping peers.

Just learned something new. I thought the name "allspice" came from it being mix of various different common spices. It being used so much by black people didn't help, I grew to think it was some sort of predecessor to seasoning mixes like Old Bay and Lawry's. Turns out I'm just retarded.
