Nope. It's because they need them to scratch their scalps that they don't wash because of those weaves. If you ever see a black woman with a weave like that constantly "Bumping" her head with her hand, it's because their scalp is infected and they don't want to scratch it and make it "Flake out"

Fresh isn't much better I'm told; Sometimes worse.
After my GF at the time decided to try being a raw foodist,(for about a week,) We thawed one out and as soon as I cut into it, We thought it had gone bad. It quite literally smelled like Raw sewage cooking in a pot with dirty diapers. She wouldn't even try it, So I took one for the team. Startlingly, it didn't taste bad at all--like a smokey banana pudding. Still, the SMELL
Out into the compost it went.
The raccoons ate like international kings that night. All that was left in the morning was some of the spikey green husk, and several hockey puck sized seeds.
