firmly pinch the back of the burger between your pinky fingers and thumbs using the whole length of your thumbs under the bottom bun (pointed inwards making a peak towards the center of the bun at a right or slightly obtuse angle 90-130 degrees) and drape the rest of your fingers over the burger from the back to the middle and hold securely without squeezing. you'll note that when executed correctly your palms will form a cup for the back of the burger sandwich (preventing any spillage) while your fingers and thumbs act as a basket holding the sandwich together.
