It's a square pizza with a thick bread similar to that of a deep dish/chiacgo style but with a thin to almost no outer crust like that of round pizzas or chicago style. No idea where this goddamn meme of putting an extra layer of sauce on top comes from cause most places don't do that at all. Also asist from Jets and Little Ceasers the chains that advertise Detroit style are just fucking square pizzas with a shit ton of sauce.
