What this guy said >>10350962 plus they make some meh home model sets that are at least fun with friends. Kinda like fondu. Traditional raclette was done by a cozy fire, you would cut your cheese round into whatever pieces and place it on a plate or whatever near the hearth with one flat site facing a cozy fire and you just kinda wait till the cheese looks ready then you scrape it onto your potatoes/veggies/meat. I only ever did it the traditional way after getting a cabin rental in wine country. Bought a crap load of charcuterie and cheese and whatevs and someone bought a wheel of gruyere and we did raclette in front of the cabin fire. Then drank rosé in a hot tub. Good vacation.
