My mom used to take me and my brother here all the time. I would almost always get fried chicken, lima beans, mashed potatoes, and cornbread in a kid sized portion. Things started changing in the late-90s and by the mid-2000s they had to close down. The area (my hometown) had become overrun with you know who. Blacks reopened the restaurant and were quickly forced to change the name. We went there once as a family after that and then never again. It was awful.
I also miss walking down main street and going to parades and the fall festival. It's sad what it's like there now.
