While they're showing you how something is made, take the time to think about each and every single machine that is used in the process of making an item. All the effort that went into making those machines. The placement of every nut and screw. The shaping of metal into sheets, the refining of plastics. The mining of ores. Entire lives, born and lived, for the purpose of making maybe a few small decisions that went into this giant process of making these machines which can make this singular item.

Industrialised civilization is mind-boggling in its scope and complexity.
