Came out looking amazing, almost certainly tasting like oil and not much else. If what you care about is presentation, that's perfectly fine - that is one way to care about food. I care about taste more than presentation, which gets me a lot of shit from pretentious tryhards. I'd rather have a grilled cheese sandwich that wasn't perfectly golden brown all the way across the bread if that meant it didn't taste like a clogged artery.
I'm sure the sandwich was a-okay for the kiddo, but slathering a grilled sandwich in oil and butter to get the job done is a travesty. Turn the heat down, use less oil, stop demanding that food be ready to eat with 15 minutes.
