they don't understand that profit-sharing plans are a de facto form of equity, and this has implications on the capital structure of the company and the return that its other ACTUAL investors (debt and equity) are going to demand; this leads to an increase in the effective cost of capital for the company and makes it harder for them to raise cash for capital investments, expansions, or emergency fundraising. this hurts the company and the employees and threatens their livelihoods.
finance and economics are a tricky subject and lazy, jealous, resentful, self-entitled communists shouldn't try to dabble. it's like letting middle schoolers try to run a nuclear reactor using feelings.
