Real shame /ck/ isn't archived, I posted it two Halloweens ago and someone took a nice screenshot of it along with a pork carnita recipe I don't feel like typing out. Anyway I found the paper I wrote it down on:

3 cups all purpose flour
2 tsp baking powder
1 tsp salt
1/3 cup lard
1 cup boiling water

Throw all your dry ingredients into a large bowl and whisk it real good. Throw your lard in and mix it by hand until the mix becomes crumbly, kind of like moon sand. Pour one cup boiling water in and mix it with a spoon at first, switching to your hands when you can stand the temperature. Knead the dough for 10 minutes. Once you're done kneading, make 12 dough balls for burrito sized tortillas, 24 balls for tacos, I usually weigh the dough and divide it that way for accuracy. Cover the dough balls with a damp cloth and let them rest for 15 minutes, during this time heat a cast iron skillet to medium-high heat, no grease. You can use a non-stick but it will take longer because you'll need to lower the heat to avoid ruining the pan. Anyway, start rolling out your dough on a floured surface or a pastry mat, I like them pretty thin but you can do them however. Once you get them roughly circle shaped, slap them on the screaming hot skillet and wait for two or three bubbles before flipping. Takes like 10-15 seconds per tortilla so keep an eye on them.

Whoops I accidentally committed a hate crime by making homemade flour tortillas.

Yes, I'm white, but I've been cooking traditional Mexican foods for my wife and her family (all Mexican) for years. They've always loved it. My cooking is as authentic as theirs. Also, I know you're just some dumb fuck pretending to be Mexican because you think a fucking omelette is somehow "your" cuisine.

Continue cooking them until you're done. If you don't have a tortilla holder you can wrap them in a towel or something to keep them warm.
