On a hot summer night, few desserts are as satisfying as hot peach pie topped with a scoop of vanilla or pecan ice cream. I used to be big on cream and custard pies, but switched to fruit pies in my mid-twenties.
As for savory pies, there's nothing quite like a pizza pie with sausage, anchovies, green peppers, and onions. Having said that, steak and kidney pies and chicken pot pies are nice, too.

I fucking love little diners, they're so comforting and cozy, but you go to a diner to get breakfast food or like a club sandwich and a coffee, not a burger.
Three eggs, sunny side up with some bacon and home fries.
Fuck, I'm going to a diner first thing tomorrow morning.

I just picked up a manual grinder, gooseneck kettle, and V60
Gonna use cheapo beans until I get consistent enough with my grind and pouring to make a good cup, and then check out some local roasters.

Anyone have any tips/preferred methods for the V60?

I get nostalgic seeing this. Brings me back to my childhood when the neighbor, Mr. Kumpel, would come over and give me wet walrus rides. (Found out in college they were rimjobs.) He was nice and I kind of miss those times.
