Hey /ck/

I've always loved cooking and food but I've only followed recipes I've found online so far. How can I take the next step into culinary arts without having to go back to university? Are there any YouTube channels, TV shows, books, or magazines that you recommend?

What can I do to get a better understanding of different flavors and their contributions / pairings? Eventually I'd like to start making my own recipes.
