/ck/ I need help.
Been a coffee drinker for a long fucking time, and I usually drink about 20-30oz a day because being a teacher is difficult as fuck.

When I was a teenager I switched to French Press because the taste was so much better than a drip-cloth coffee maker. However, French Press is slow and a pain in the ass to clean. I've tried a few other options but nothing beats the continence factor of using a machine to make my coffee, so I'm going to save the French Press for special occasions/parties/whatever.

What coffee maker should I get that has a metal filter in it? I want something that won't dilute the taste like a generic coffee filter. I also need something that can make a large pot of coffee. My wife wants an espresso machine and we have some Williams Sonoma giftcard, but some of their Keurig rip-offs are just as shitty as Keurig with their proprietary coffee cup/pod things.

Any advice would be great.

Are french presses as good as an aeropress?
