I fly a few times a year and I always bring a ziploc of Cheerios, a metal spoon, and a disposable bowl. After getting past TSA I buy milk for like $5 and then pour the bowl on the plane. If you're patient, you can usually get the milk for free if you wait in the long Starbucks line and ask for "a grande cup of milk."
