I've enjoyed most single malt I've tried but I haven't found one that I'd call "My Favorite" yet. Glenmorangie Quinta Ruban comes close but I'm looking for some smoke too.

Monkey Shoulder is a solid balanced mixing scotch that's good enough to drink straight. Doesn't really excel anywhere but I don't find any short comings either.

Legent is a very nice bourbon full of spice, fruits, and caramel. Four Roses Single Barrel is a close second.

Received Whistle Pig as a gift recently. Fucking great rye. $70 a bottle is one hell of a steep price though, dunno if I'd actually spend that much. I wish there was something on this level in a more reasonable price range.

Not generally a fan of Irish whiskey but I've found I quite enjoy this one. Red Breast 12 year cask strength is the only other Irish whisky I've really enjoyed. I put McConnel over red breast because cask strength is a big punch and I'm generally in the mood for something smoother.

Breckenridge Spiced Whisky tastes like Christmas and I only drink it during the holidays. Tried their entire whiskey range at the distillery and this was the standout. I'm going to attempt a version of this myself as I think all they did was toss in some mulling spices to their standard bourbon.
