I want to splurge and get a nice new set of pots and pans, what should I get? What material should I be looking for? i've been using a set by Cuisinart which is serviceable I guess. Will non-stick coating give me cancer?

Moving to a new apartment, all the kitchen aid I used so far I couldn't move with myself. What should I buy? I cook a lot, so I already know what I need, but never bought cookware. The best get would be a decent big pan, one medium sized and one big pot with a heavy bottom and a baking pot tray.

I also have to say that I don't have a big budget considering all the expenses that will go to the new housing.

What would you get if you were in my position?
