That's only a problem if you don't stir constantly. If you are stirring constantly then it's not possible for anything to burn or stick to the bottom of the pot.

I'm not trying to be rude or anything, but most recipes you find online suck. There's nothing surprising about this.

First you need your "holy trinity": Onion, green bell pepper, and celery. I'm adding some shallot and garlic for extra flavor.
