Anyone else enjoy doing late night cooking?

It's 3 in the morning on a weekday and i'm about to make a pan fried steak. (I know it's obviously a different time of the day for a lot of you)

I'm not going to lie, i've had a few drinks so i'm not going for something too complicated.

I'm in need of additional ideas while I wait for it to defrost though.

Spices? Simple side dishes?

Eating a steak like this seems like a bit of a waste if i'm just going to cook it plain.

I have been there where you are now, OP. You can come out of the hole of poordom that most probably you dig for yourself. However, meanwhile you choose to remain poor, here is a recipe:

>2 cheapest goddarn Tesco ramen
>prep according to description on back of the pack
>after taking off the stove, put 2 raw eggs on top of it
>season with pink Himalayan salt
>optional: throw it out it the fucking garbage, get rich 'n get a Le Menu Exceptionnel which includes among others a flaked Devon crab with melon and fresh almonds, served with a marinated prawn, a pan fried scallop and octopus slices with coriander, served on a bed of celery puree, coconut emulsion and tamarind sauce and a shortbread biscuit with an apricot mousse and redcurrants, rosemary scented apricot sorbet for a meager £147.50 nig.

There were times when all I bought at Tesco were a cart full of Tesco ramens and 10 eggs. Everyone who looked at what I bought knew I was poor as fuck. I know the shame. Chin up heads up OP. The way out is the way up.
