Buffalo Trace itself was never hyped, and it's still pretty easy to find and it's inexpensive because the distillery forces vendors to keep the price low because it's their only midshelf product and the face of the distillery. All their high end liquors are unobtainable now because Blanton's put out an aggressive product placement campaign that featured their whiskey in a ton of TV shows and movies.
