It's shocking how many people don't know shit about cast iron pans.

I even read a story where a worker's restaurant didn't take care of their cast iron pans, and was just going to throw them out. I think it was about $200 worth of cast iron cookware. The guy asked for them since he collected iron scraps (he just wanted the pans). The boss said "go ahead and take them".

At least those pans went to someone who knew how to use them.
