>only ever knew about Wonka from these candy commercials
>for years, I still had no idea about the source material
>movie comes on TV, one day
>watch it
>mind blown as I realize the candies were based on this

Honestly, the fact I knew the candies first probably helped immerse me in the film. Strange that the Wonka Bars didn't receive this treatment.
