After trying a few ~$60 whiskeys and going back to cheaper whiskeys, I'm surprised at the utter lack of flavor. I ordered some Jameson at a bar and honestly thought it was watered down at first. I guess I've spoiled myself now? Anyway, Redbreast 12 is fucking delicious. Would love to know of some cheaper whisk(e)y with actual flavor like this.
