A farm restaurant in the sticks of Lower Saxony that advertised itself as a "corrugated sheet metal palace". Basically a huge dining hall with a semi-circular roof built as cheaply as possible.

They mostly offer dishes with asparagus and potatoes that they grow themselves, but the service is absolutely awful. My parents took me there twice when I was a kid.

The first time, we ordered four servings of potato croquettes for the kids, and they brought four servings distributed among three bowls (???) so we were left with the task of doing the math and dividing them into four portions ourselves. It was like a test

The second time, we went there with fifteen or twenty people and they forgot my order. I got to wait half an hour extra and could finally eat my schnitzel when everyone else had already finished their meals.

White asparagus is bland. It has a fibrous texture and tastes slightly bitter. That is all. Still everyone creams their pants over it from April to June each year and eats this shit every other day.
North German cuisine is pretty awful in general unless you're looking for beer and bread.

Did you accidentally order wonderbread instead of Jambalaya? I seriously can't imagine how a dish of various meats, vegetables, spices and rice can lack in flavor.

It is pretty damn bad, yes. All we can do is pork, cakes, bread and beer.

And don't you try to shit on muh kebab, it is objectively the best fast food item out there.
Your burgers got nothing on that combination of freshly baked pide, grilled greasy-as-fuck meat and sweet salad.

I grew up in a region famous for growing amazing asparagus.
Asparagus is a lame, off-tasting and overexpensive vegetable and I honestly don't understand all the hype over it every goddamn May.
