So, I've stopped drink soda, I think. I was drinking like 4-6 cans a day, down to a few a week, and now I only have the occasional one.

But it seems that tea might be replacing it. I don't know a fucking thing about it. I throw a bag in the cup, add some hot water and just drink it straight after it steeps for a few minutes.

How does /ck/ enjoy tea? What are some good flavors? What do you usually add to it?

tldr; tea

Am I the only one who doesn't like or "get" tea? To me, it's just a bunch hot water that's lightly flavored with stuff you boiled in it.

Am I missing something? How can I learn to enjoy tea?

Whenever I look stuff up about tea, I always see people saying to never use a microwave to heat up your water. However, I've never seen an explanation as to why this is a bad idea. So what is it about heating water with a microwave that is so bad for tea?

I want to get into drinking green tea for health benefits. However, the stuff I get from the supermarket doesn't seem to be all that wonderful.

How do I make a cup of really good green tea?

Tea thread!

>Do you order online or purchase local?

My personal favorite is from a place called David's Tea. It's a chai guaranara and tastes fan-fucking-tastic. It's so much easier on my stomache then coffee, but still gives me a great boost of energy.

Other then that, what I'm drinking right now is green tea with infused night blooming jasmine. Perfect strait up.

Tea & coffee thread.

I've recently started getting into pu-erh tea. It's usually hard to find in western markets, though I'm a bit luckier than most because I live in an area that respects tea more than the norm, but I've managed decently enough, discovering several lovely tea shops along the way. What drink are you enjoying for the morning/afternoon/evening, /ck/?
