So I was travelling and on two particular days we couldn't find a restaurant open late at night so we ate a KFC and Subway.

Holy fuck. I expected to be bad but not THAT bad.

Subway:
>everything is bland
>sauces are cold as shit
>"steak" is actually burger filler crap that isn't even made with beef

The only thing OK with my sandwich was the raw onions. They didn't fuck that up. I never ate olives that tasted of nothing until I had this sandwich BTW.

KFC

>fries were crap, not crunch at all and dry and rubbery
>breaded chicken didn't have any of the mysterious spicy taste they keep marketing it to have, secret recipe my ass

Honestly as somebody who avoids these types of establishment I cannot help but wonder how many people who go there actually do it because they love the food or because they are brainwashed into thinking it is actually decently cheap food for the price.

You can generally eat better for the same price at any corner Italian restaurant/cafe.

It isn't even faster as these establishments always have super long queues.
