update on my jiaogulan tea, still no luck

trial 1:
brewed 2g (double dose) in 250ml of filtered tap water for 5 and 10 minutes and 90 degrees celcius
>no taste
trial 2:
brewed 1.5g in 250ml of soft bottled water for 5, 10 and 15 minutes at 80-90 degrees celcius
>no taste
I chewed on a brewed leaf and there was an ever so slight hint of sweetness that appeared after a few minutes
my luck can't be that bad right? even if there's no taste, would I still be getting the health benefits?
