Well, I guess the massive cold spot in cast reddit pans would stop your steak from getting cooked.

I'm a fan of cast iron but it doesn't heat evenly. It's great at maintaining heat but the casting process doesn't form it in such a way that that heat spreads evenly.

Nah man, they're super cool. You just have to work super hard on them first, then baby them later not cooking certain foods in them or cleaning them in several different ways. Everyone should use it.

>3-ply
As it's not a single thin layer of aluminum anything is better than cast.
>£90
Nevermind.

For ease of use, cleaning, ability to cook more foods, ability to cook on more surfaces, and heat distribution; multi-ply.

For inexpensive and feel good dick-waving, cast-iron.

He's not the soyboy. Faggots clinging to their renfaire-quality iron pans instead of using modern technology are the sad losers.

Stainless or more specifically Tri-Ply with an aluminum core, is actually better for searing meat. The idea that cast iron is better is an absolute joke. Cast iron is a weak conductor of heat and as such will have hot and cold spots.

Stainless with an aluminium core however is an extremely good conductor due to the core. Heats up extremely fast and gives a consistent
and perfect sear.

That's not true. Try-ply bonded pans have much better thermal conductivity than cast iron, due to the layer of aluminium wedged in-between the steel. It's much better for searing. It also heats up much faster and holds it temperature for much longer.

It's a complete myth that cast iron is better at searing foods.

Wrong. Tri-ply pans are much better conductors of heat, and give a much more even sear. They're far better than cast iron.
