Rheinischer Sauerbraten (Sour roast), from the rhine area (especially Düsseldorf)
Meat (in earlier times horse, nowadays mostly cow) is stored in a marinade of onion, carrot, celery and wine for 5-6 days, roasted then doused with the marinade
Usually served with red cabbage and potato dumplings
