Okay. What exactly are you trying to argue? That people should fly to bumfuck Alaska to eat generic Mexican food instead of going to NYC/Frankfurt/Tokyo? I'm really confused. Anchorage is not a destination, business mecca, or travel hub. I've been there because I've traveled a lot, but I've also been to Reykjavik about a dozen times on my way from NYC to Heathrow/CDG because those are actual destinations, and Iceland Air is an actual airline people use to travel between the US and Europe.

I'm not shaming anyone. I'm explaining why so many people eat garbage and the hypocrisy of the type of people who make threads like this when they're completely missing the real issue and acting holier than thou while ignoring everything they purport to believe in.

Here's a seemingly random analogy that might help you to understand. Imagine a millennial who has virtually no irl friends, has barely had any sort of romantic or even sexual relationship, and never sees themself being able to own their own home. Now imagine them blaming all of that on immigrants, or jews, or trannies. Those are real issues that are affecting lots of people, but the discussion of who or what is to blame is so fucking far off base it's almost absurd even listening to someone framing it in that way.

Yeah, it's like totally soulful when they buy the exact same frozen burgers and fries and hotdogs as the chain places, cook them on the exact same flattops and in the exact same deep fryers filled with the exact same canola oil, and then serve them on buns made in the exact same factory with the same ketchup and sugar water on the side, except they actually make a couple trips to Restaurant Depot every week. Yeah, no Sysco truck pulling up to this place. They go the extra mile.
