Marathon runners are not elite athletes. I'm talking shit like Olympic sprinters, wrestlers and powerlifters. Unironically, endurance sportsmen like marathon runners can run on ketones/fat with no need for carbs and do no worse than those who eat a liberal diet of carbs.

Also, modern fruit sold in supermarkets is sugar-laden, selectively bred trash that is specifically made to contain as much sugar as possible. These fruits are anything but natural.
