>Other blog thoughts on hot sauces.
>El Yucateco XXXtra Hot: The smoky flavor is incredible. Spice level is great. Between this and Tabasco, most of my hot sauce condiment needs are covered.
>Cholula: Unbeatable on fried sunny side up eggs with runny yolks. I don't use it for anything else though.
>Valentina: I associate this mostly with bags of duros that were doused in Valentina, sold by hispanics and their snack carts back in Chicago. Feels weird to have it on anything else desu.
>Tapatio: Tastes better with the Doritos flavored Tapatio chips rather than as its own hot sauce. I like Cholula more.
>Sriracha: Grew up with putting this on pho and still do. Other than that, I find that people who put this on everything else are weird. "Sriracha" condiments like Sriracha ketchup/mayo/whatever really weird me out, too.
>Secret Aardvark: Felt like Sriracha without the garlic hit, and a bit spicier/fruitier. I liked the flavor and sweetness of it for something liked grilled chicken but it's too expensive for what it is. Looking to try the El Yucateco Carribean sauce for similar notes.
>Chili oil: Shit is so cash on dim sum. Dim sum feels like just a vehicle for delicious chili oil, honestly. This feels like something I should try and explore more uses with in various dishes at home desu.
>Sambal/Chili Garlic/Gochujang: It feels weird including these in this list, but cooking with these is great. Sometimes they're nice to have as a condiment for very specific things too.
>Crystal: Great with southern style fried seafood, been a while since I've tried it though
>Franks/Texas Pete/Louisiana: Inferior to other options
