I did the keto meme about 3 months ago. Was a waste of my time and money had I known that I could've just /fast/ that whole time and be at my target weight by now.

>the higher costs and sheer difficulty in finding keto friendly ingredients

Yeah fuck that shit. Keto works on the basis of losing weight in the same vein as to how anyone would lose weight when they finally stop gorging their face with sugars, carbs and calories. It admittedly works on a short term basis, but afterwards becomes useless unless you're doing maintenance.
