OP here. My picture was only supposed to show toasted bread, garlic and tomatoes. It's a simple and healthy breakfast. I often had some excellent quality ham with it if I had the money.

English breakfasts tend to be based upon cereal, eggs and bacon. I prefer my eggs poached on wholegrain toast with butter salt and pepper. A small bowl of cornflakes with honey while drinking coffee and orange juice.

Thanks. I used to enjoy cooking. It's just that as I reduce my intake of booze, my appetite is all over. I'm on a load of meds too: beta blockers to stop me shaking, zopiclone to get me to sleep, very high dose vitamin B, eyedrops because they dry out and thalamine as the nurse said there's not enough in my body.

I can cook good food, but as I'm getting this shit out of my system my digestion is all over the place. Maybe I should have taken this to /adv/, but the purpose of my thread is really about nutrition for withdrawal, rather than any personal problems. I figured /ck/ is a better place.

>HOW THE FUCK DO I GET AN EGG LIKE THIS

It's technique. I let a pan of water get to almost a boil. Just a simmer with a few bubbles. I then stir the water in one way so it creates a vortex. I put in a spoonful of white wine vinegar (not sure if it's necessary but it's supposed to keep the white together) and crack the egg. It cooks and solidifies almost immediately. While the egg is cooking, no more than two minutes, I'm toasting bread. Serve with buttered toast, a little salt and a lot of ground pepper. A hot drink either tea or coffee will wash it down. I prefer tea with a spoonful of sugar.
