yes. Some expensive "craft" beers can be nice but usually I drink Budweiser hurricane. It is < 1.50 for a 24 oz can, 8.1 abv, tastes nice with most food and does't give me gout like some pricer imported or local craft beers. Some times I buy miller original in a 40 oz bottle.I have enough money to buy whatever I like, but I don't feel the need to buy expensive beers just to impress others. And the same goes for spirits( realski vodka, gordon's gin, old crow or even williams bourbon, Inver house scotch, no name rum)or wine ( which frankly I rarely drink, but I try keep a bottle of decent merlot on hand for cooking or the the occasional guest who likes it.The point is, it frees me to donate money to charites or people that need it What is the point of paying big bucks for something just because advertising or society says you must?. I drive a 15 year old low millage suv, and live in a 1600 sq ft house built in 1974. But they are both paid off, and it secretly amuses me when I see friends desperately struggling to make 500/month car payments , 1500/ month house payments and buying expensive beer, wine and whiskey, just to impress others That is a no win game.If you are paying for it , buy what YOU like and screw what other people think you should drink or buy..
