>working in a semi-upper class bar on a saturday night so its packed and dishes are non stop for 6+ hours
>server brings and drops a bus bin over loaded with dishes and cups
>doesn't even empty the plates just leaves it on my dish cart and walks away
>grab the bus bin and go back to her and place it in front of her
> she yells at me saying its my job
>chef comes over and tells her that I did nothing wrong and that I've been busting my ass
>she be grudgingly bring it back over to my dish pit and empties the plates of food and trash and puts the nicely on the dish cart
>boss tell me at the end of the night that i earned a raise for standing up for myself finally

the literal backbone of a restaurant and the most feared cause of how fucking weird you gotta be to actually enjoy it.
been working at a place for a year now and im getting paid 17 an hour and have 46 hour weeks. easiest shit in the world.

Same thing happened to us when a huge family of canadians came in 15 minutes before closing. This was when I was still in the back washing dishes and before I was working on the pizza line.
Manager was a real bro and helped the line make their 10 large pizzas. He also let me leave before the huge family left.
I could only imagine them staying there 2 hours after closing just to clean.

I like to cook my breakfast meat in my cast iron skillet first, usually bacon or spam. I'll turn the heat to low, let it cool down for a second then I'll crack 2 eggs on the pan. I like em over easy most of the time but if I accidentally break the yolks I'll just scramble them.

My time in the pit was great. Good pay, decent hours free food and a waitress with the nicest ass I've ever seen to chat with all day while we weren't busy.
