I have one of these induction cookers. They're a bit loud due to fan noise but they boil water extremely fast. Never used a frying pan with this (only boiled water) so I'm not sure about non-boiling cooking activities.

I heard from reviews that the induction top has a pretty small induction surface so thing cook on a frying pan unevenly (really hot in center and cooler outside the center circle).

Anyways, it's pretty reliable.

I am a lower middle class person with no cooking experience. I own a pot, a pan, a knife, a spatula, and a serving spoon. What are some fairly easy cheap things that I can cook? McDicks and hot pockets for every meal is doing bad things to my health and my wallet.
