The entire foundation of modern coffee consumerism collapses if you simply try roasting your own beans.
It's hilariously easy to do for how much the quality improves.
I have imparted my wisdom. Continue living in your house of cards if you wish.

learn to make cowboy coffee
if you can't stand grounds at the end of your cup get a french press
if you can't stand sediment at the end of your cup get a pour over
grinding your own coffee is a good idea but you don't have to.
if you're going to CONSOOM, buy stuff that makes you enjoy the process more.

hey if you like it, it's all good. I used to have a keurig and it was always kinda mediocre to me.
If you like coffee a lot you could try like a french press or something. If you don't wanna buy a special maker you could always try making cowboy coffee in a kettle if you have one lying around.
