Cast iron lasts forever, it's nonstick, easy to clean and it's cheap. AND, as an added bonus: they trigger internet chuds into committing self-harm. \end thread.
Carbon steel is nice too.

Plebs reading this will gag and faint like drama queens but you can treat it like yogurt. Add sweetener and eat it with cereal/granola. Put it in a smoothie.
Put it on anything, I can't think of anything sour cream would be terrible on. Mix with garlic and chives and put it on vegetables or eggs. Make tuna salad with it. Stop holding yourself back.

> I want a smooth cast iron
Get a cheap pan and sand it down. Or be patient, use metal spatulas and gently scrub with steel wool when cleaning and it'll smooth itself out.

Fry up some garlic, onion, and bell pepper separately first.
Then start frying up the cabbage, preferably in butter, cook until tender.
Mix them together, add hot sauce and salt and whatever other spices you might like, i.e. maybe ginger or savory herbs.
So delicious... tastes like pad thai IMHO.

Or Look up "crack slaw"

Stainless fren, Question: Is it possible to cook eggs on stainless steel without them sticking, without frying them crispy? Can you slide them around and flip them?
