1. Noncontiguous

Hawaii has great Korean and Japanese influences, great bbq, great fish, great pork, good coffee (if you're into that), and chill people.

Alaska has Salmon, caribou, shellfish, and berries.

2. Southeast

Creole and Cajun food are voth great, overall.

"Soulfood" is shit, other than the bbq parts of it, but there are a few types of bbq to make up for that.

3. Northeastern.

Great seafood. And oddly enough, the sweetest corn I have ever had was from up there — a few times.

4. Rocky Mountain.

Game, decent produce, and good foraging opportunities: mushroom, fruit, berries, and similar things.

5. Pacific

Also great seafood. Sadly, a bunch of burrito, taco and burrito clone cuisine everywhere. Good seashore foraging opportunities for clams, urchin, mussels, kelp, and the occasional lobsters and crabs.

6. Midwest.

It's food.

7. Southwest.

Is there food?
(Export mexican does not count)

Pic related: a bitter melon stirfry. Love these types of hawaiian things paired with bbq. I get it if you don't like spam, but I think it's fine as a slightly flavorful filler.
