not the same guy but the flavor is pretty inoffensive. It's got a mild tofu/tempeh-like flavor thats not bad at all. But the texture--it's like semi-soft soybeans suspended in really viscous snot.

That being said, it's pretty good mixed with mustard, sauce, and bonito flakes on top of steaming white rice
