>Whoever wrote this guide sounds like he got filtered by Islay.

It's just a starter graph. There's a whole lot more scotches. See this pic.

>I've never had a single Dalmore. describe it to me.

There's a bunch of different Dalmore whiskies. The Cigar Malt Reserve is just one.

I described their basic vintage, the 12 year old Dalmore here: >>17492653
That is the only Dalmore I've tried.

>Do you have any more of these for other types of whisky?
Nope. Only Scotch. Despite the origin, I snagged this pic from an earlier thread here.

And besides the two previous charts, there is also this one.

I saved this one from a previous Whisky General thread, but ignore the origin.

I think both of these charts are based on opinions that are described in this article:

What about this graph? Ignore the origin, I copied it from a previous wg thread here. I'm not looking for strict accuracy, just a ballpark estimate.

>Ignoring the chart, it's 50 to 55 ppm, so very fucking peaty.

I have no idea what the above means. I know what ppm stands for, but parts per million of what?

It could be good to go to a bar or establishment and do a whisky tasting. Of course this is pricier per ounce than buying bottles, but you invest a small amount of money in finding out what you like, and then you can buy bottles for home.

There are a bunch of charts like the one attached that map out the flavors of scotch. Might be useful.

I like a variety of scotches. Four off the top of ny head:
Lagavulin 16
Talisker Skye
Talisker Storm
Laphroaig 15 (12 is also good)
Oban 14

I like smoke. You may not. I had some nice "dessert" scotches once out of curiosity at a pub with a good selecton. I liked them but probably would not buy a bottle.
