Uh, I have never been to NYC but know only one person from there. My wife's cousin's wife is from there.
I have no idea what the vents are about but I know they are real.
And what do you mean by "the movies?"

We make more movies than anywhere on earth with more genres so you need to be more specific.

This country is so big and regionally different I cannot speak for many places here.
All I know is people from North Ohio are assholes and Jersey-folk talk strange and Bay Area California people are a lost cause mostly.

Also Chattanooga is alright but its 50% a college town, my ex lives there and I sext her sometimes when I know my wife wont find out. Chatt is okay I guess.
Thats only 2hr 30min from me and im only 5 counties over ffrom it.
