Theres a reason nearly everyone else is using hardened tool steel. Akirakoki's margins must be insane on that. You can cast iron in your backyard. Just look at your burrs and tell me if there is any sharpness to the cutting surfaces at all. Looks to me like they're dense and rounded. More suited for "crushing" than "cutting" compared to something like this. Which might work out perfectly for low fuss shit like french pressing. I don't imagine them getting any duller so it should perform the exact same throughout its lifetime.
