Probablement pas sauf si on est voisin sans le savoir. Je ne sors pas de chez mois depuis le début de la grippe chinetoque. Je programme(J'ai fais mes études en physique, qu'elle bordel de trouver un emplois en français dans ça) donc je me fous de l'exterieur. Je ne me suis pas fait faire vacciner non plus; c'est une bonne chose au final, car j'ai une bonne raison pour ne pas perdre mon temps lorsqu'on m'invite au restaurant.

Also I'd say the fact that /ck/ have not a lot of thread about cooking is nothing surprising. Just like all the other hobby board like /fit/, /k/ and /g/, the vast majority of posters are posers. The kind of "people" that think being in /sci/ and/or /lit/ make them smart by association. It's not surprising to get better advice on the japanese language outside of the japanese learning thread and on anime outside of /a/. Some time it's even made worse inside some threads/generals due to the attention whore circlejerk.
However, it's also true that there is nowhere else to shitpost about diet kool AIDS mix or about what kind of fastfood sauce give you the best diareah. It's just redundant and boring 99/100 of the time, I wouldn't complain if it was funny or original.
