hard agree. who the fuck decided that adding enough mayonnaise to something makes it a salad? and why did other people go along with it? 95% of coleslaw sucks too

aside from that, i also don't care for eggplant, but what i really can't stand is shredded carrot. i don't dislike carrots, i cook with them occasionally and even somewhat enjoy them raw. but i have NEVER had a dish with shredded carrots that i felt was enhanced by their inclusion. even in cases where i think they are tolerable, like banh mi or bibimbap, they are still at best a net neutral.
