The thing that nobody seems to want to think about is that coffee is like sugar in the sense that it provides a lot of energy for it's volume but even worse because it functions throughtout the day. If you're trying to wean off it you'll feel like shit even if you get enough sleep and exercise and sunlight and all that because you've conditioned your body to a quick energy boost and if you take that away matching the energy intake will require that you eat a lot more food than you usually do until your body gets used to it.
