Because we don't eat one baguette per person per day like they do in France, so it would never be viable for someone to get a PhD in baguettes and sell them for a dollar each. Instead we have to settle for shitty grocery store bread or drive to a decent bakery and pay $5 for what we be an average at best baguette in France.

Why do you watch so many American youtubers and look up American recipes for non-American dishes and then throw a tantrum whenever they aren't doing something right or use a measurement you don't understand? Like, why the fuck wouldn't you just look up a French recipe for French onion soup? I've worked in multiple restaurant kitchens and understand that you can't do a fucking catering order on the order on the fly because of labor and inventory, but what in the actual fuck is this? It's a cereal bar. They have cereal and milk. Why in the actual fuck would they need 24 hour notice to pour half a gallon of milk over the one, shelf stable, thing that they sell?
